Torch Early-Stage Fire Sensor
In the event of a fire, early detection is essential to minimize property damage and potential loss of life. The Torch system is equipped with a bevy of sensors to detect a fire as soon as possible. A thermal camera looks for small high-heat sources and tracks changing dynamics, visual cameras perform spectral analysis to detect visible fires, and multiple gas sensors analyze smoke signatures to prevent false positives. Each sensor can monitor an area up to 10 acres in size, linking with other units via radios in a mesh setup to cover vast stretches of land with only one unit needing a WiFi connection to send out alerts. The units themselves are built to withstand the elements, with a solar panel on top to keep the multi-day battery charged up. The Torch is available for pre-order now, with shipments expected to begin in Winter 2023.
