You can already take an Uber from Manhattan to JFK. This one is just way faster. Launching July 9, Uber Copter will offer the company's Platinum and Diamond members the option to take a helicopter from the city to JFK, a flight that takes around 8 minutes, instead of roughly an hour on land. Ground transportation to the heliport is included, and while the 40 lb. bag limit is better than competing services, Uber's will only be offered on weekday afternoons at first.
