In 2019, filmmaker Morgan Cooper created a gritty reimagining of the classic 90's sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Nearly four years later, a new series inspired by the viral video is coming to Peacock. The show will reimagine Will's transition from life on the streets of West Philadelphia to the West Coast in modern-day America with a more dramatic lens. Jabari Banks will sit on the throne of the upcoming reboot while original star Will Smith steps in on the production side. Bel-Air will begin streaming in 2022.
