Set in a border crossing station in the fictional, Eastern Bloc-like Arstotzka, a border agent is the only thing standing between broken families, desperate workers, and political insurgents. Based on the game Papers, Please by Lucas Pope, this short film tells a story much like its source material — and the limits and limitations of empathy.
After 60 years at Penn State, Joe Paterno was one of the most beloved coaches in college football history with the most NCAA wins. He was set to be a legend until the Jerry Sandusky child abuse scandal broke. His knowledge of the events overshadowed his legacy and lead to his firing in 2011. In this HBO biopic, Al Pacino portrays the disgraced Paterno during the height of the scandal and the backlash that followed. The film is set to premiere April 7, 2018.
