Fred Hampton was Chairman of the Illinois chapter of the Black Panther Party, founder of the Rainbow Coalition, deputy chairman of the national Black Panther Party, and assassinated by the FBI in conjunction with Chicago law enforcement. Judas And The Black Messiah is the story of how the FBI and Chicago police infiltrated the Black Panthers and killed Hampton in a predawn raid while he lay in his bed. Directed by Shaka King and starring Daniel Kaluuya and LaKeith Stanfield, the film premieres on HBO February 12, 2021.
In the new film from director Mike Cahill, Salma Hayek and Owen Wilson are living in two different realities — a dreamy wonderland and a grungy alternate. As the two worlds begin to merge, it becomes hard to decipher what's real and what's a simulation. Bliss is slated to premiere on Amazon Prime on February 5, 2021.
