Inside One of Baseball's Last Manual Scoreboards
Wrigley Field is known for its ivy-covered brick outfield wall, the iconic red marquee over the main entrance, and its hand-turned scoreboard. First installed in 1937, the scoreboard is one of the last remaining of its kind. Darryl Wilson has been the man behind the board, manually changing the number plates at every pitch, hit, and out. But with the hectic job comes the added perk of having the best seats in the house.
