With Uncut Gems, Adam Sandler proved he had range. But for those of you missing the Happy Madison Sandler you're used to, Hubie Halloween is just what you need. The comedian plays Hubie DuBois, a community goofball who spends every October 31st trying to keep his hometown of Salem, Massachusetts safe. This year, he must turn into an actual hero when members of the community start disappearing. Also starring Kevin James, Kenan Thompson, Julie Bowen, Ray Liotta, Steve Buscemi and Maya Rudolph, Hubie Halloween will premiere on Netflix on October 7, 2020.
To follow up his Academy Award-winning film Parasite, Bong Joon-ho is going back to his archives. The director is releasing a remastered cut of his breakout film Memories of Murder. Based on a true story, the 2003 movie follows Detectives Park and Seo as they try to hunt down Korea's first serial killer. Neon is bringing the film to theaters on October 19th and 20th, followed by a special post-screening conversation with Bong Joon-ho and Edgar Wright.
