Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' graphic novel is being adapted once again for an HBO series. Created by Damon Lindelof, this modern-day reimagining embraces the original series and its alternate history where superheroes are shunned while putting a fresh spin on the classic comic books. The series will star Regina King, Don Johnson, Jeremy Irons, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and is set to premiere this fall.
There are numerous underground Doomsday shelters. In the event of a nuclear war, the military is planning the take to the skies. The E-4B Nightwatch will be a backup Pentagon and become the new command center for the President, Secretary of Defense, and Joint Chiefs of Staff and is on standby 24/7. Also known as the Doomsday Plane, the militarized Boeing 747 can fly for 12 hours before refueling and has special features that can withstand a blast, allowing for military operations to continue after a crisis.
