Hunter S. Thompson Speed Painting
For his latest piece, Phil Vance created a colorful portrait of Hunter S. Thompson. Instead of traditional brush strokes, the artists formed the renowned author's features with layers of his owns words. The painting took over six weeks to make, but in this video, the process is slowed down to just a 30-second time-lapse. Vance also create a portrait of Dave Chappelle using quotes from the comedian's 8:46 special.
