Then scandal for his support of Nazi Germany and anti-Semitic views leading up to WWII, eventually being stripped of his military rank by President Roosevelt. HBO's Based on the novel by Philip Roth, The Plot Against America imagines an alternate history where Lindbergh is nominated for the presidency — and one Jewish family watches as a furor rise against their people. The miniseries premieres on March 16th on HBO.
