In 1999, friends Marilyn Wagner and DJ Ginsberg bought boxes of letterpress blocks and plates for $2,000. These letterpresses and plates were advertisements made to run in newspapers, and spanned the history of film — from silent movies to Star Wars. The Marilyn and DJ have spent years cleaning and cataloging the collection, which was appraised at over $10 million — but have yet to find a buyer.
