Venice in Oil
Banksy may have not been invited to the Venice Biennale art exhibit but the street artist has become the star of the show. A week after an unverified, Banksy-like mural of a migrant waving a rescue torch appeared on a canal wall, he set up a similar refugee-themed painting amongst the local street vendors. Titled "Venice in Oil," the multi-frame piece depicts a massive cruise ship sailing past the city as gondola boats float by. Banksy released this video to claim the artwork along with the message "Despite being the largest and most prestigious art event in the world, for some reason, I've never been invited."
