Virgin Galactic Spaceship Cabin Design Reveal
Virgin Galactic just revealed what a $250,000 ticket will get you with a virtual sneak peek inside their SpaceShipTwo Unity. With room for six passengers, the cabin will feature custom-designed aluminum and carbon fiber seats made to adapt to the weightlessness of Zero G. Each one is equipped with a personal digital display to share real-time flight information while padded honeycomb lining allows astronauts to safely roam about the cabin and 16 onboard cameras document the journey. The most important details are the windows. A series of 17 circular portholes ensure you capture every view of Earth as the ship travels through space.
