Villa Kuro
Originally built in the 1960s, Villa Kuro has been transformed into a minimalist retreat in Joshua Tree. The midcentury modern ranch is designed with tranquility in mind, offering a relaxing hideaway among California's desert landscape. Its two-bed, two-bath interior embodies the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi with handmade finishes and natural materials. Antique furniture adds to the aesthetic while expansive glazed panels showcase views of the natural scenery. Sited on 3.6 acres, there's plenty of opportunities to take advantage of the outdoors including a cactus garden courtyard and a hike around the adjacent boulder mountain. Guests can cap off each night with a stargazing session from either the saltwater hot tub or lounging around the fire pit.
