Vollebak Wooden T-Shirt

In its quest for sustainable alternatives, Vollebak has made shirts from garbage, hemp, algae, turnips, and blueberries. But its latest innovation is its cleanest yet. The Wooden T-Shirt gets its shadowy hue from black wood ink. Taking over 20 years of research and development to create, the carbon-negative pigment is crafted with wood waste from the lumber, paper, and flooring industries. It's produced using a closed-loop, circular system that's safe for the environment. The ink is printed on the world's first 100% compostable stretch fabric, also made from wood. The material is created from a combination of eucalyptus wood pulp and seaweed sourced from Iceland's North Atlantic Fjords. This natural blend produces a surprisingly soft and comfortable wardrobe essential that biodegrades in months rather than centuries.
