We Are Rewind GB-001 Boombox
Boomboxes, with a briefcase-like size, built-in handles, and front-mounted decks, were a staple of cassette culture. We Are Rewind reimagines them for the modern day with the GB-001. Like its forebears, it has front-facing speakers — two woofers and two soft dome tweeters with 104 Watts of total power output — mounted on either side of the central cassette deck, with controls on the top underneath the handle. Unlike many predecessors, it has backlit VU meters above the tape player, an aux input, and Bluetooth for wireless streaming. Dynamic power control reduces distortion, and a spatialization function creates a wider, more immersive soundstage. The GB-001 will be available for order soon.
