1969 De Tomaso Mangusta

The Lamborghini Miura gets most of the credit, but the Mangusta was arguably just as important in laying the groundwork for modern supercars. Only 401 were ever built, and only 250 or so remain, so this 1969 De Tomaso Mangusta is a rare relic indeed. Amazingly, it's only been driven 2,900 miles over the years, and aside from the exterior paint — which was recently restored to its original Silver Blue Metallic — the car is entirely original, from the Ford 5.0L V8 engine and electrics down to the tires and "mouse hair" dash. A true gem of a sports car that only recently has started to receive the respect it deserves.
