1972 Nissan Skyline GT-R

The modern-day Nissan GT-R is certainly impressive, but if you want to know its heritage, you need to start here. This 1972 Nissan Skyline GT-R is one of just over 1,100 GT-R coupes made between '70 and '72, powered by a 160 hp, 1,989 cc inline six engine. Forefather of the Godzilla series of GT-Rs, it also features a five-speed manual transmission, front disc and rear drum brakes, and nearly all of its original pieces, thanks to a loving restoration. Even the original wheels and steering wheel are included — even if they're not currently installed — and with only 42,000 km on the odometer, this is as close to a "new" specimen as you're going to find.

  • 1976 Mercedes-Benz 406 Unimog

    When it comes to cars 30 years and older, it's tough to find them in great shape. Which is part of what makes this 1976 Mercedes-Benz 406 Unimog so appealing. Formerly used as an aircraft tug by the German Army, it spent its active duty garaged inside hangars, preserving its rugged body. The original 84hp six-cylinder diesel engine has approximately 3,300 hours on it, and is joined by a converter clutch, a power take-off shaft at the front, a "Schmidt" plate for attaching tools like a snowplow or loader, seat belts in the front and rear, new wheels and tires, refurbished seats, the unfortunately detached original speedometer, and a guarantee to draw the attention of off-roaders everywhere.

  • Nissan Safari Rally Z

    The Fairlady Z (perhaps better know in America as the Datsun 240Z) formed the basis for the legendary Nissan Safari Rally Z ($TBA). This fastback coupe sported a 215 horsepower inline-six engine that helped it win two East African Rally championships in the early 1970s. Now it's undergoing a complete overhaul, thanks to Nissan's Restoration Club — a group known for bringing historically-significant Nissans like the 1964 Skyline back to life. Expect to see this Z car restored to its former glory by December of this year.
