Land Rover Defender XTech Edition

When it comes to truly beastly SUVs, few models can match the Land Rover Defender — and that masculine quality is amped up further in the Land Rover Defender XTech Edition (£28,000; roughly $43,500). Available in 90 Hard Top and 110 Utility Wagon models in either Orkney Grey or Nara Bronze, this limited edition truck features contrasting black roof and wheel arches, 16-inch gloss black wheels with off-road tires, rear LED lights, black surrounds for the headlamps, a black interior with contrast stitching, and a 2.2L diesel engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission. Unfortunately, no state-side launch is planned — so if you're going to the Olympics, treat yourself to one of these instead of the obligatory commemorative t-shirt.

  • BMW M135i

Not content to let its coupe-y siblings have all the M-Powered fun, the new BMW M135i ($TBA) packs some serious power into a compact hatchback package. Available in three- and five-door versions, the M135i is powered by a 320 hp straight-six TwinPower Turbo engine, a host of high-tech safety features like adaptive headlights, a rear view camera, and a lane-departure warning system, BMW Assist, a model-specific exterior and interior design, a longer, wider, and more spacious body, M-grade suspension components, your choice of six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmissions, and optional xDrive all-wheel drive. We're keeping our fingers crossed for a US launch.

  • Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Victoria Beckham Edition

Yes, that's a mighty long name for such a small SUV — but if you've got a thing for ex-Spice Girl style, you might want to check out the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Victoria Beckham Edition ($TBA) anyway. As you might expect, this limited edition ride focuses more on aesthetics than function, with a hand-finished matte gray paint job, contrasting glossy black finishes on the roof side, vents, wheel arches, and 20-inch wheels — which also happen to sport rose-gold accents — semi-aniline vintage tan leather seats with "baseball" stitch details, rose-gold on the center console switches, soft feel black on the gear shift, a piano black center console, and an included, matching four-piece luggage set. Limited to 200 worldwide and arriving in October.
