Odin Roam

Take yourself out of the bleakness of your Fall and Winter blahs with a subtle hint of Summer every time you wear Odin Roam ($135). The newest scent from the New York brand is unisex — just like the rest of their catalog — but it won't leave people wondering if you walked through the wrong section of the department store. It has masculine top notes of saffron and pepper, followed with middle notes of ginger flower and coffee blossom. At its base are coconut milk, ebony wood, and incense, giving it a complex scent that's as delightful as it is interesting.

  • Eight & Bob JFK Fragrance

As a young man, while vacationing in the French Riviera, John F. Kennedy met a young dandy named Albert Fouquet, known for his expertise in crafting fine fragrances. Kennedy was particularly impressed with one scent — now called Eight & Bob ($195) — and asked for a bottle. Fouquet included a note with the gift, which read in part "in this bottle, you will find the dash of French glamour that your American personality lacks." Later, after returning home, Kennedy requested another order of eight bottles, plus one for his brother Robert (hence the name). Now, after more than 70 years in dormancy, this fragrance is available in limited quantities, so you too can add a bit of French glamour to your personality.

  • Viktor & Rolf Spicebomb

Smell like a man this summer by spraying on some Viktor & Rolf Spicebomb ($80). This masculine fragrance does a particularly great job of balancing fruity scents like bergamot and grapefruit with spices like chili pepper and saffron, with a handful of manly smells like leather and tobacco thrown in for good measure. Oh, and it comes in a custom built grenade bottle, just so you don't get it confused with your less-explosive colognes.
