Peugeot RCZ R Concept

Most concepts arrive with no clue as to whether they'll ever become reality, but luckily for our European friends it appears the Peugeot RCZ R Concept ($TBA) — or something very similar — will be rolling out to dealerships at the end of 2013. Details remain scant, but we do know that the 1.6L THP engine will give it 260 hp, making it the most powerful production model in Peugeot history, and that it sports a racy body and a Torsen limited slip differential. No word on whether the concept's surprisingly catchy black and copper paint scheme will make the cut.

  • Hyundai Zombie Survival Machine

Why buy a beat up van to ruggedize for the apocalypse when you pick up a new ride right off the showroom floor? While it's unlikely to appear at dealerships anytime soon, the Hyundai Zombie Survival Machine ($TBA) is certainly ready for any undead action that comes its way. Based on the Elantra Coupe, it features a custom zombie plow — complete with spikes — out in front, armored window coverings, a roof hatch, a trunkfull of weaponry, floodlights in the front and back, spiked all-terrain tires, wheels with spikes for clipping nearby walkers, and an all-important CB radio system. After all, you don't really expect your cell phone to work during the end times, do you?

  • Volvo S60 Polestar Concept

Volvo fans looking for the ultimate in Scandinavian performance, take notice. The Volvo S60 Polestar Concept ($TBA) might still be a concept, but what a concept it is. Powered by a specially tuned Volvo T6 engine pumping out 508 hp, it dashes from 0-62 mph in just 3.9 seconds, on its way to a top speed of over 185 mph. Other features include a reinforced manual six-speed gearbox, all-wheel-drive, 19-inch wheels, a lowered chassis, front Brembo brakes, a carbon fiber diffuser, more supportive, Polestar seats, and an Alcantara-covered interior. Will it ever actually be made available? Depends on the always fickle "market response."
