Porsche Cayman S Porsche Design Edition 1

Porsche Cayman S Porsche Design Edition 1

Black on black has never looked so good. It's no secret that the Porsche Design Studio makes some insanely awesome stuff. And you knew it was only a matter of time before they collaborated with their brothers at the car factory. The Porsche Cayman S Porsche Design Edition 1 ($TBA; Jan. 2008) is a limited edition (only 777 are being made) black beauty, featuring a triple racing stripe, blacked out interior, 19-inch wheels, and a lower stance. The 295-hp ride also comes with a briefcase containing Porsche Design's Flat Six Chronograph watch, a pocket knife, a pair of sunglasses, a pen, and a key ring.

  • Porsche 911 GT2

It may not be coming to the states this fall, but whenever it does, we'll be ready. The 2008 Porsche 911 GT2 (from $220,000) is the company's most powerful road use 911, ever. Boasting a 530-horsepower, twin-turbocharged 3.6L six-cylinder engine, a top speed of 204mph, surprising gas milage of almost 19 miles to the gallon, 19-inch wheels, and a slew of other niceties, this beast is going to be one hot item when it finally makes it to US shores. • Nissan Nismo Z

We've long been fans of Nissan's 350Z series, but we've also been waiting for Nissan's Nismo performance group to get ahold of one. The 2007 Nissan Nismo Z ($TBD; Summer 2007) improves on the standard Z with an aggressive aerodynamics package, a specially tuned independent multi-link suspension, Brembo brakes, a tuned exhaust, and gunmetal grey Rays super lightweight 5-spoke forged alloy wheels — 18" in the front, 19" in the back. The interior sees some upgrades as well, including customized seats, red stitching throughout, and special Nismo white and grey gauge faces. With 306 horsepower linked to a close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission, this is one ride worthy of its Super GT series champion cousin.
