Starwood Full Metal Jacket Jeep

Don't let the name fool you — you don't need to be on the front lines battling Vietcong to drive the Starwood Full Metal Jacket Jeep ($107,000). But we're willing to bet it would be just as at home on the battlefield as it is on the toughest friendly terrain. This heavily-customized Jeep Wrangler features a Pentastar 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces 285 horsepower, letting it get from zero to 60 in 8.4 seconds (not bad for something this big). A fully-upgraded suspension and lift kit, LED light bars all around, and kevlar panels on the interior and exterior make it one bad ride.

  • Icon Thriftmaster Truck

Call us high maintenance if you want, but we prefer our hotrods with a classically-minded exterior and a completely-modern everything else — a smooth ride, performant drivetrain, and reliable electronics. Similarly-minded ICON (who seem to be on quite the roll lately) just announced the Icon Thriftmaster Truck ($250,000), a Chevy 3100-based piece of lust-worthy automotive art. Powered by an available Magnuson supercharged 5.3-liter small block V8 producing 435 horsepower and 458 lb-ft of torque, with all-wheel ABS-equipped disc brakes, independent front suspension, a four-link solid rear axle, and a six-speed Tremec manual trans, this truck is made to move, handle, and stop. Add to that an all-LED lighting system, matted interior for a quieter ride, beautiful upholstery, a split bench seat, power windows and locks, as well as a touchscreen control panel, and you get a gorgeous vintage truck with all the advantages of a modern vehicle.

  • 2014 Mercedes GLA Edition 1

Ahead of the official release of their upcoming GLA Class, Mercedes has announced a limited edition run of the 2014 Mercedes GLA Edition 1 ($TBA). While under the skin it's basically the same (a turbocharged two-liter, four-cylinder engine with 211 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque), on the surface it gets a different treatment unique to this preview model. It sports blacked out mirrors, trim, and headlights, and a set of 19-inch wheels, with a very limited five paint options. Inside it gets all-brown leather upholstery with beige inserts, stainless steel control surfaces, an aluminum-trimmed instrument panel, and a three-spoke steering wheel. Unfortunately, it won't be available in the USA, but if anyone wants to send us one, we wouldn't complain.
