They're not in production yet, but it's not hard to imagine these Yamaha Electric Motorcycle Concepts hitting dealer lots in the near future. Both the dirt bike-inspired PED2 and the sportbike-like PES2 are powered by brushless DC motors and a lithium-ion power module that doubles as the frame. The PES2 has an extra motor built into the front hub to make it a 2WD motorcycle, while the PED2 is designed to take advantage of the quiet electric system out in the natural world.
