Zero S Motorcycle
With all the attention going to hybrid cars these days, it's easy to overlook some of the other modes of transportation out there, and some of them are even more economical. The Zero S ($9,950) is a fully electric motorcycle with all of the speed and performance of a gas-powered bike. Designed to be both aggressive on the road and kind to the environment, the Zero S is highly responsive, built by hand from aircraft grade aluminum and powered by the Z-Force, a lithium ion battery that reaches a full charge in under 4 hours. Pushing 31 horses, this bike can go from 0-30 in under 2 seconds, similar to a 250cc gas powered motorcycle, but costs only $0.01/mile to operate. That's what we call efficiency.
