Peru-born Larry Cavero moved to Toronto, which couldn't be any less like the warm beaches of South America. With surfing running deep in his veins, Cavero had to find a way to ride the waves in an ocean-less city. Making lemonade out of lemons, he took advantage of the neighboring Great Lakes and found his own surf scene in the frigid waters.
