1960 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spider

Ferrari continues to dominate the ultra-high-end collector car market, and this 1960 250 GT SWB will prove it at RM Sotheby's Monterey auction. One of the most important Ferraris to cross the block, this is the first-ever example of the 250 GT SWB California Spider. This car was Ferrari's show car at the 1960 Geneva Motor Show and came from the factory with the competition-spec Tipo 168 V12, covered headlights, and removable hardtop. Thoroughly documented, this Ferrari has had only five owners since new, with three in the last 60 years, and has spent the last 16 years in a private collection. RM Sotheby's Monterey event takes place from August 15th through the 17th.
