1960 Lamborghini Centenario Trattore Tractor
Lamborghini founder Ferruccio Lamborghini would have turned 100 years old in 2016 had he not passed away in 1993. The company bearing his name made 20 coupes and 20 roadster versions of the now sought-after Centenario to honor the occasion, but Adler Capelli had another idea. The artist built five customized Lamborghini tractors as a rolling tribute to the man, the original vehicle that gave Lamborghini the means to create a revolution in sports cars. The example here combines two early-'60s masterpieces, the DLA 35 and the 2R DT, into one fully-operational tractor. The bodywork is raw metal, meant to age with the tractor over time, while the 2.2-liter three-cylinder diesel engine from the DLA 35 has six individual side-exit exhaust pipes in a nod to Lamborghini's later performance heritage. This tractor is number four of the five built, and is up for sale via the Classic Driver marketplace.
