1963 Chevrolet Corvette Studio Concept Split Window Coupe
In November of 1957, Peter Brock drew the sketch which became the second-generation Corvette, better known as the Stingray. In the years after, he also designed the Daytona Cobra Coupe and founded the world's biggest hang gliding company. Six decades after its debut, Brock personally redesigned the Stingray, creating this Studio Concept Split Window Coupe. While keeping the spirit of the original intact, it makes the previously ornamental vents functional, improves the sight lines of the rear, and replaces the original powertrain with a supercharged GM 6.2L/725 HP LT4 V8, mated to a Tremec TKX 5-speed manual transmission, with a custom Art Morrison chassis and C7 Corvette front suspension components improving performance and handling. The finished product was unveiled at the November 2025 Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals and is now being offered from Peter Brock's personal collection at Mecum's Kissimmee 2026 auction on January 16th.
