1964 Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ-1 Double Bubble Race Car
Believed to be the 61st of 117 Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ-1s built, this specific example was the only one delivered new with Zagato's signature double-bubble roof. That was due to the 6' 5" height of the owner, Dmitri Nabokov — son of literary giant Vladimir Nabokov. Raced extensively in Europe by Nabokov, then in Australia following a sale, it was restored to racing condition in the 2010s, making it a candidate for further vintage events, or for a full restoration to its original factory configuration thanks to its provenance and extensive documentation. It will be offered as part of RM Sotheby's Monterey sale in August.
