1966 Ferrari 275 GTB by Scaglietti
Director Roger Vadim Plemiannikov and Jane Fonda were married in Las Vegas in 1965, and one year later, welcomed a new addition to the family — this 1966 Ferrari 275 GTB. The car came finished in Azzuro over a Nero leather interior and was built as a left-hand drive for use in France. As a later production 275, the car came with long-nose steel bodywork, a torque tube, and triple Weber carbs. Sold new in Paris, Plemiannikov took delivery of the car in June 1966, with the registration transferred to Fonda later that summer. The couple had the car for over two years before returning it to the selling dealer, where it was sold again to a Mr. Tamalet who subsequently painted it red. The car was raced on at least two occasions in 1968 and 1974, before coming into the hands of the current owner in 2004. The car has been stored to its factory specs and colors, retains its original engine and gearbox, and is Ferrari Classiche certified. The car is currently for sale via RM Sotheby's.
