1967 Heuer Carrera Sunray DX Watch
In 1967, Gary Goss joined the Sunray DX racing team as a hauler and pilot, transporting Corvettes to the racetracks. At the end of the season, the team manager gave Gary and the rest of the team matching Heuer Carrera watches making it one of maybe 12 in existence. Gray hung on to the timepiece for nearly 70 years but is now auctioning it off with Sotheby's. The 1967 Heuer Carrera Sunray features a 36mm stainless steel case with a Seiko bracelet. Its white dial has sundials at 3 and 9 o'clock, while the team logo sits on 6. Along with the watch, the lot includes a Sunray DX Zippo lighter, Gary Goss' Sunray DX name tag, Daytona International Speedway patch, Yenko Stinger decal, 1967 Daytona Trans Am race day admission ticket and button, and a Sunray DX Sports Car Club of America Festival decals. Bidding ends on March 12, 2024.
