1970 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona Plexi

When Ferrari launched the 365 GTB/4 Daytona in 1968, the headlights were originally covered with clear plexiglass lenses. US safety regulations in 1971 required a change, and the pop-up headlights made their debut. The Daytona pictured here is believed to be one of around 400 "Plexi" Daytonas made, and has a very interesting history — it's one of the earliest known Ferrari factory restorations. Once owned by a relative of Didier Pirroni, a Ferrari F1 driver from the '80s, was treated to a restoration by Ferrari in 1981. The original and extremely rare Marrone Metallizzato paint was changed to the common Rosso Corsa during the restoration, along with a change to a tan interior from black. The car is all-original and has covered just 6,560 kilometers since the restoration. Currently located in Geneva, this Daytona is being offered for sale by Petrolicious.
