1981 Toyota Trekker
The spiritual predecessor of the 4runner, the Toyota Trekker was the result of a partnership between the Japanese automaker and Winnebago. Combining the rock-solid reliability of Toyota's pickup with the space of an SUV, it was made in surprisingly small numbers given the popularity of its successor. This particular example has spent most of its life in Colorado and seen its beloved-but-aged 22R engine replaced with a new Toyota powerplant. It still has its 5-speed transmission, has an updated exhaust that meets modern emissions standards, and a bright yellow paint job that only helps to accentuate its vintage design.
