1984 Lamborghini Jalpa Coupe

The Jalpa launched was introduced in 1981 at the Geneva Motor Show as the entry-level model in Lamborghini's lineup. Powered by a 255 horsepower 3.5-liter V8, the Jalpa was based on the earlier Silhouette that was in production for three years with only 54 units produced. The Jalpa was much more successful, with over 400 made over seven years, and was the last Lamborghini with a V8 until the Urus SUV. While not as stunning as the Countach, the targa-topped Jalpa's angular styling made it a perfect stablemate to Lamborghini's flagship. The Jalpa pictured here is a 1984 model in red over a black interior with the later body-color intake covers on the B-pillars and no rear wing. Features include factory air conditioning, an Alpine stereo, and just 18,624 original miles. The car will go to auction at Mecum's Indianapolis event in May.
