1985 Porsche 959 Paris-Dakar Rally Car
One of the best supercars to come out of the 1980s wasn't developed as a street car. The legendary Porsche 959 was designed as a Group B rally car, with the later production versions built to meet homologation requirements. This 959 raced in the 1985 Paris-Dakar and failed to finish, but the next year, the 959s would finish first and second in the rally. Before being auctioned in October, the car will be brought up to racing condition, and with its history and Rothman's livery, makes it one of the best examples of Porsche's racing history.
