1986 Lamborghini Countach LP5000 Quattrovalvole
Sold new in Canada, this North American-spec 1986 Lamborghini Countach has an interesting history. In the summer of 1988, the original owner parked the car in driveway and found it on fire later in the day. Written off by the insurance company, a Canadian Lamborghini collector purchased the car and began the process of procuring parts for a restoration. With the new Diablo on the horizon, Countach parts were difficult to find, until a call from a Toronto lawyer representing Lamborghini led to the car being shipped to Milan for a factory rebuild — decades before Lamborghini started Polo Storico in 2015, its factory restoration service. The work took over two years and cost $240,000, more than a new Diablo. The owner has invoices and receipts to prove it, all included with this now immaculate Countach.
