1987 Porsche 962 Race Car
The far more formidable follow-up to the 956, the Porsche 962 claimed over 180 victories during its run, including Le Mans in 1987. This particular example never scored a victory in IMSA competition but did come away unscathed. Highly original, it has a red and black livery with Coke, Yokohama, and Porsche logos, among others. Over the years it has been given extensive maintenance, including the installation of a Klaus Fischer dyno-tested 3.2-liter flat-six engine and a new fuel tank, brakes, turbocharger, and 3M clear paint protection film. It arrives with current FIA papers that run to 2030 and is eligible for a wide range of events, including the Le Mans Classic, Daytona 24 Hours, and Sebring 12 Hours Classics, making it both a collectible and a viable racing machine.
