1988 Porsche 959 Sport

The world's fastest street-legal production car when it was introduced, the Porsche 959 was a technological marvel. It was also shockingly expensive, though it's said that Porsche still lost money on each $225,000+ sale. As such, only 292 production examples were built, with a vast majority built to "Komfort" specifications — which makes this 1988 Porsche 959 Sport all the more desirable. The 16th or just 29 Sport models built, its track-focused spec sheet adds a leather-wrapped roll cage and four-point racing harnesses while deleting the A/C, stereo, and the Komfort's adaptive suspension. As a result, it was 220 pounds lighter and even more nimble than its heavier brethren. Well documented and equally well maintained, it has just 3,757 miles on the odometer. Finished in Grand Prix White over Grey cloth, it's an incredible example of one of the most impressive sports cars of its era.
