1989 RUF CTR Yellowbird Coupe
Based on the Porsche 911, the RUF CTR Yellowbird was once among the world's fastest cars, with a 0-60 time of 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 211 mph. In total, only 29 Yellowbirds were built between 1987 and 1989, with only nine finished in the car's namesake color, only six built with alloy body panels to reduce weight, and only four fitted with a RUF-designed six-speed manual gearbox. This example, no. 26 of the 29, checks all those boxes and even more notably has just over 1,000 miles of the odometer. In remarkable condition for its age, it's slated to cross the auction block at Gooding Christie's Amelia Island sale during the first week of March.
