1990 Lamborghini LM002
The car that Sylvester Stallone, Eddie Van Halen, and Hunter S. Thompson all independently decided they needed. The LM002 was designed by Giulio Alfieri with the engine borrowed from the Countach: a 5.2-liter V12 producing 450 horsepower, backed by a five-speed manual and Pirelli Scorpion run-flats built for the desert. Only 328 were ever built, 48 of them to American spec. One of those 48 has just surfaced, a Bianco Perlato example with a Rosso and Bianco leather interior, 4,148 miles on the clock, and a single owner since delivery in 1991. After a full concours restoration by one of the country's leading LM002 specialists, every switch works and the cargo area still has its original tonneau cover and color-matched spare.
