1990 Porsche 964 Carrera 4 Leichtbau
Built by hand in Porsche's racing workshop, Werk I, the Porsche 964 Carrera 4 Leichtbau — or "lightweight" — is among the rarest of its kind. Only 22 were made, built as development cars for the Carrera Cup. Specs included a 265 hp, 3.6-liter dual-ignition flat-six engine, an aluminum roll cage, Recaro bucket seats, a fixed rear spoiler, and a notable lack of creature comforts, removed in the name of weight reduction. This particular example is in outstanding condition with just over 300 miles on the odometer and is expected to fetch $750,000 or more when it crosses the block at Gooding & Christie's 2025 Pebble Beach Auctions in August.
