1991 Ferrari F40 Minty Forty
Every one of the 1,235 Ferrari F40s made left Maranello wearing one color — Rosso Corsa. Even a supercar as high-profile as the F40 isn't immune to accidents, and in 1998 this 1991 F40 was wreck in the Netherlands, requiring the replacement of the front clamshell. Dutch shop Forza Service performed the work, and chassis no. 88538 returned to the roads of Europe and received its all-important Ferrari Classiche Certification in 2008. While car retains its original engine and gearbox — although the odometer has been changed — the current owner knew it would never be a pristine example. Acquiring the car in 2021, the owner had the car resprayed in Verde Pallido, a minty green first used on a 250 GTO built for Stirling Moss. That makes this F40 extremely unique while still reflecting Ferrari's storied history. The car goes to auction via RM Sotheby's during the 2024 Monterey Car Week.
