1993 Ferrari F40 LM by Michelotto
While the Ferrari F40 is a classic in its own right, only 19 LM examples were built by Michelotto to GTC for use in the European FIA-GT series. Thanks to larger Behr intercoolers, revised camshafts, a modified fuel management system, larger air restrictors, and an increase in turbo boost, the V8's output was bumped from 478 to 760 horsepower. Other modifications included larger Brembo disc brakes, wider wheels, a lowered ride height, a larger front spoiler, a revised hood with larger cooling vents, and a large adjustable rear wing. The result was arguably the most desirable of all F40 versions. This example was Ferrari Classiche Certified in 2009, had recent work to ensure peak performance, and will be auctioned as part of RM Sotheby's Monterey auction on Saturday, August 16th.
