1996 Porsche 993 GT2R

The ultimate version of the lauded 993 911 was the GT2R. Built to homologate Porsche's turbocharged 911 for racing, the GT2 left the factory with a roll cage, stripped interior, zero amenities, and a 443 horsepower, twin-turbo flat-six. The GT2R was rear-wheel drive only to save weight and rode on a race-spec suspension, making it ready to compete. The GT2R pictured here is one of 78 examples built. It was sold new in Japan by Art Sports, where it remained until 2013. That year the GT2R moved to America, passing through two more owners before arriving with its current one. The car shows just 5,386km and has barely been driving since leaving Japan. The car is currently being offered for sale by Schaltkulisse.
