1997 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe by Kaege Retro
Singer Vehicle Design gets most of the attention when it comes to backdated 911 restomods, but Roger Kaege's Kaege Retro operation in Stetten, Germany has been doing comparable work since 2010. The air-cooled flat-six has been bored out to 3.8 liters, rated at 300 horsepower, and paired with a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The carbon-fiber body incorporates flared fenders and quarter panels, early-style chrome rear bumperettes, H4-look LED headlights, and a speed-activated rear spoiler. It rides on Fuchs-inspired 17-inch multi-piece Kaege Retro wheels with KW suspension. Inside, Recaro Sportster CS bucket seats are trimmed in red leather with houndstooth cloth inserts, and the cabin adds air conditioning and a black microsuede headliner. The odometer shows roughly 3,300 miles since the build.
