2008 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport 2.1
Bugatti introduced the open-roof Veyron Grand Sport 2.1 at Pebble Beach in 2008, with production starting the following year. Bugatti reacquired the original prototype in 2020 and has restored it as the first car in their La Maison Pur Sang program. La Maison Pur Sang is Bugatti's effort to preserve, restore, and authenticate classic and modern era models that leave in like-new condition, providing a trusted certification for auctions and third-party sales. The Grand Sport 2.1 prototype's body panels were removed and repainted, while the interior received a period-correct center console and fresh carpet and leather. After the restoration, the car was immediately acquired by a collector.
