2011 Ferrari LaFerrari Prototype M4
The first hybrid Ferrari, the LaFerrari, was meant to be the definitive Ferrari. During its first phase of real-world development, this prototype, internally known as F150 Muletto M4, is a track-only example of how this legendary supercar was created. It was built on the same Tipo F142 platform as the 458 Italia, but with a modified aluminum chassis to accommodate the hybrid F140 V-12. While the black leather seats with tan carpets and production-standard instrumentation match the 458, the exposed rivets, overextended exhaust pipes, absence of wheel center caps, side hatches to access the powertrain, distinctive bodywork, and mismatched brakes make it immediately distinct. Due to its prototype nature, it can't be driven on the road, but is nonetheless a desirable piece of automotive history.
