2020 Mercedes-Benz GLA SUV
The compact GLA crossover was a hit for Mercedes as the entry-level car for the luxury brand. For 2021, the GLA is getting a modest makeover that brings it in line with the rest of Mercedes' eight-car compact lineup. The second half of 2020 will bring the GLA250, GLA250 4Matic, and the top Mercedes-AMG GLA35, each with front-wheel or all-wheel drive depending on options. Every GLA gets a 2-liter turbocharged inline-four paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. Naturally, the AMG's output is upped to 302 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, making it the most powerful of the group. The interior gets most of the attention, with the quality being brought more in line with other Mercedes products. The GLA will now share touchscreen options with the rest of the lineup, including a seven-inch touchscreen for the base versions and a 10.5-inch in the AMG. The GLA should be in showrooms by Summer 2020 with the AMG arriving later that year.
