2021 Lexus LC 500 Convertible
The Lexus LC 500's sleek grand tourer lines were perfectly suited to a convertible, and Lexus apparently agreed — the ragtop version of the LC 500 debuted at the LA International Auto Show. Lexus' design team did an excellent job integrating the convertible top into the body lines, and the naturally-aspirated, 5.0-liter, 471 horsepower V8 makes is under the hood. With only a 126-pound weight difference between the coupe and convertible, expect performance similar to the coupe's 4.7-second 0-60 time. Additional chassis bracing has been added to keep the same chassis dynamics and the interior is much the same as the fixed-roof variant with an eye toward keeping the cabin as calm as possible. The top retracts in 15 seconds, and the climate control system changes settings automatically depending on whether the top is up or down and other factors like outside temperature. The Structural Blue with white interior model shown here is part of a 100-unit limited edition to celebrate the launch and is available for order now.
